Vide Supra Foundation is a non- profit organisation. Krzysztof Łokaj and several involved in this idea people established it in 2006. The preliminary aim of the Foundation is providing help to children who need it most. Specifically, these are children living in children’s homes, foster families and institutions which educate and take care of them. We support exceptionally gifted people who are in financial difficulties by creating grant programmes and giving them an equal start in life. We would like our activity to enable young people development of their artistic, sports and scientific interests and passions.

MISSION

VIDE SUPRA (in translation “to look up”) symbolises realisation of noble and ambitious goals. It motivates to constant development and education and enables thinking ahead with faith and optimism. Concurrently, it advises to treat life at a distance and understanding.

Thus the foundation supports the pursuit of strength, wisdom and better education to achieve our plans concerning ourselves, our close relatives and the needy.

AIMS

Statutory aims of the Foundation include:

• Fostering development and education of children and young people.

Providing help to children in need of a specialist health care or rehabilitation as well as to children who are addicted or come from maladjusted families. We also ensure education covering healthy lifestyle, prevention of addictions and social education. Our Foundations offers trainings for children and young people.

• Supporting young talents- artists, sportspersons and other highly gifted people through creating grant programmes and trainings for schoolchildren and college students. We cooperate with proper institutions: universities, art galleries, cultural centres and other institutions.

• Caring for animals through already existing organisations and creation of new animal shelters, veterinary clinics as well as creation and realisation of long term solutions such as animal adoption. We create and support educational programmes promoting proper animal care.

ACTIVITIES

We foster young talents - we promote young artists, sportspersons and exceptionally gifted people. We organize vernissages and exhibitions and we have created a scholarship fund for gifted young people.

We give equal opportunities- we support children and young people from children’s homes and educational institutions and similar establishments. We pay special attention to their education and the provision of equal opportunities for a start in life. We have taken under our patronage and a special care of Children’s Home No. 2 in Warsaw.
